So, every so often I tell people that I’ve won something. Their reaction is usually, “Wow, how do you win all this stuff?” Let me tell you, I’ve never won any raffles or sweepstakes before. Giveaways, YES. I have won quite a few things. Most of our family and friends do not really understand the blogosphere beyond what they know from the xanga days, so bear with me here (and correct me if I’m wrong).
More popular bloggers have enough viewership that they are able to get products from companies, and crafty moms with businesses want to promote themselves. The blogger then reviews the product and does a giveaway. You just read the rules and enter by leaving a comment. Sometimes for extra entries, you can become a fan on Facebook, blog about the giveaway, tweet about the giveaway, become a subscriber, become a follower, etc. There is a random drawing at the end and the winner will be notified through email or a post on the site.
In the months to follow, I will send some linky love to those sites where I have won things. Since I haven’t won that many things, I’ll feature one site every other Wednesday.
