Big sis finally woke up from nap and came to check out the Kiwi Crate

Taking out the materials

Playing with the sticks

She decorated the box and took the pic. 🙂

Lining up the sticks by size

I helped her put the rubber bands on and she pushed the sticks in.

Glue dots, how I’ve missed thee.

Making the mallet

Dot stickers to label the ‘keys’

Trying it out

Composing music

Playing her song

So proud of her xylophone

My poor girl had a fever this day, so she came to my bed to snuggle.

Opening the box

Deciding which project to work on…looking through the stuff for the xylophone

Decided to check out the rhythm bells instead

Telling me what materials are included

Taking out the materials

Sticking her fingers in the holes of the wood beads

Coloring the beads with the colored pencils that were provided

Looking through the hole

It was probably better to use markers or paint to color the wood beads. The colored pencils were a little tricky for her, so she took a break, and came back later to put the bells and beads onto the elastic string that was provided.

Fiskars (I think they give you these scissors in your first crate. We own Fiskars already, so this was passed on to a friend. Love them!)

Kiwi Crate: What is it?

Have you ever wanted to do an activity with your kids, but not want to gather the materials and prepare the materials for the activity? That has happened to me soooo many times. A friend referred me to Kiwi Crate and we decided to give it a try.

What is Kiwi Crate?
“Our crates are designed around fun themes and filled with all of the materials and inspiration for hands-on projects. Explore with arts & crafts, science activities, imaginative play, and more.”

There are 2 options to choose from when you order a Kiwi Crate. You can choose a monthly subscription or an annual subscription. You can cancel or pause your subscription at anytime. If you, unlike me, are already great at crafts and preparing crafts for your kiddos, maybe you can gift someone else with a subscription. Or if you don’t have kids yet, or your kids are grown, maybe you can gift someone else with a subscription. 🙂

Kiwi Crate also gives you the option of ordering specific crates, like Crafty Christmas, Fairy Fun, and Space Hero.

In upcoming posts, I will share with you the crate that we received.
