This year we were unable to make it to the Brain Tumor Walk in San Francisco earlier in May, but lo and behold, there is a Silicon Valley Walk! I’m not sure if they have had this before, but I know they have a Brain Tumor Ride, where bicyclists raise funds.

I have been going back and forth on participating because we have so many other things going on, and it is going to be a busy week. But here we are, a last-minute sign-up. :p

This Saturday our family will be taking part in our 2nd Brain Tumor Walk together. This is our 3rd 5k walk together, and my 3rd time doing the Brain Tumor Walk.brain tumor walk 2012

Fundraising and Donations
It is through fundraisers like the Brain Tumor Walk that make it possible for research to be done so that there are treatments to prolong cancer patients’ lives. I just want to say a BIG THANKS for those who are in this with us through prayers and your donations. We don’t have a high fundraising goal this because of the late sign-up, but I know that whatever is raised will be used for some great work.

Yes, even $1 can make a difference! You can donate on the TEAM ANDY page.

Here was Emily’s reaction last year when she heard she got more than her goal. If we reach our goal again this year, I will document her reaction, and post for you all. :p

I suppose I’ve been gearing up for the walk by doing a lot of walks throughout the week with the girls, or walking while they bike.

Thanks!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for always getting through my long-winded posts…and even reading them when all I do is reword a few things. 😉 Thank you for those of you who have made donations. Thank you for those who have been praying for my friends Andy, Yvonne, and Baby N (she’s not really a baby anymore though…celebrated her 3rd birthday already!).
