This is Day 6 of our 31 Days in SF Bay series. To read all the posts in order, start with this post, then visit the Landing Page to see the outline for the whole series.
Heading past the hills from where we are, you will be in Dublin/Pleasanton.
Hacienda Crossings: Barnes and Noble, Babies R Us, Old Navy, Bed Bath and Beyond
Each summer we come to Barnes and Noble to pick up the girls’ summer reading program prize. You can read the blog posts from 2012 and 2013. You can see more photos from 2011, 2012, and 2013.
Dublin Retail Center: Half Price Books
Places like these make our nerdy bookworm hearts happy. 🙂 The girls joined in the summer reading program at Half Price Books for the first time this year. It kicked off with a storytime. I am impressed with this place. The books really are half priced. Doesn’t beat free books from the library, but still pretty good. :p You can see more photos from the STORYTIME, Emily’s June PRIZES, Melody’s June PRIZES, and July PRIZES.
Alameda County Fair
One of the highlights of our summers when we were kids was going to the Alameda County Fair, and it is a highlight for us once again! We’re not big on the carnival games, but we like the rides (go on $1 days!!), fair food, animals, and concert. You can read the blog posts HERE and HERE. You can see more photos from 2012 and 2013 HERE and HERE.
Pump It Up
Pump It Up is a fun party place for the kiddos. We have been to a number of birthday parties here, and it is always a good time. A good time to have a party is during a weekday mid-day. We went to a party recently during the day, and we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves, and got all the staff’s attention. They took photos and had a slideshow for the kids to watch during cupcake time. You can read the blog post HERE. You can see more photos from 2010, 2011, and 2013.
Super Franks
Super Franks has a bunch of theme rooms for birthday parties. It also has a huge play room with massage chairs and wi-fi for parents…so I’ve heard. :p The glow-in-the-dark/black light room is cool. You can see more photos from 2010 and 2011.
I will probably add photos later, but here are some restaurants that we enjoy in Dublin and Pleasanton. We have written reviews of some of these restaurants, so they are linked up.
- Red Tractor Cafe
- Amakara
- Fuddruckers
- Mr. Pickle’s Sandwich Shop
- The Cheesecake Factory
- Red Robin Gourmet Burgers
Other places to visit… (I will link photos and such later on. Come back to visit!)
- Stoneridge Mall
- Target and Toys R Us – Dublin Place
- REI on Amador Plaza Road (across the street from Dublin Place)
What did we miss? Where should we go visit in Dublin and Pleasanton?
This is part of our 31 Days in SF Bay series.
