Melody was drawing crosses on the easel, and then the girls started having a conversation about dying, and that Jesus is God, etc…
I can’t remember the whole conversation, but here’s a tidbit:
E: Jesus died for our sins. He was sin.
M: Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life.
(Awana much?)
And then, this verse came to mind:
2 Corinthians 5:21 – God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
…which I remembered because of these awesome cassette tapes (GT and the Halo Express) we had growing up.

One of the girls’ 3 8th grade Bible verses this week is 1 John 4:9 “This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.”
Belinda, 1 John 4:19 is another verse that is in the GT & the Halo Express cassette tapes! 🙂 Have you heard of Seeds Family Worship? Love memorizing through songs.
