Winnie the Pooh KIDS: Audition

Last year, the girls were invited to watch their first live show. It was the Cinderella KIDS play. They were friends with Cinderella. They were literally on the edge of their seats. I asked Melody if she wanted to be in it when she was old enough, and she had me bugging the director since then. :p Now, that was last November. Rehearsals for the new play finally would be starting in July! That was a lot of bugging I had to do.

In mid-June(?), Melody “auditioned” (every kid gets a part) for Winnie the Pooh KIDS. We actually found out most of her friends were in the other cast…yes, other cast. There were 2 casts who did Winnie the Pooh (K-4th grade), and 2 more casts who did Alice in the Wonderland (5th-8th grade). Jenny, the director, is such a blessing!! Who would offer to run a FREE program like this?! (FYI, each cast has 50 kiddos!!) Melody had 1 friend that she knew who was in the same cast, found out there were 3 others in our CC group who were in it, and made a few new friends too. 🙂

Here are her audition photos:

A week after the audition, I got an email saying Melody was a bee. She was thrilled. She even went to highlight her parts in the script. :p
