The “summer” is coming to an end as Melody starts school soon. We are savoring every minute of it. On Saturday I got to get out with some new-ish friends. We had brunch. Fancy, huh? And then we went consignment shopping. It was my first time, and I totally scored! Jodi found something that my little sis would really like if she had kids…or maybe just for herself. So, I bought it for my future niece or nephew. 😉 Found a toy bulldozer for $3 to add to our collection of toys for all the little boys that come over to play…and we have a lot of boy friends! (One of which Emily has been holding hands with a lot this summer. Ahem!) And I got what looks like a brand new children’s dictionary for Melody. I was looking for one, but they all cost $15+!!

Early Monday morning, it was like back to school for MOPS leaders. :p We haven’t seen each other in awhile and are ready to get back into gear for the year. There are a ton of great stuff planned. The next day was Popsicles at the Park. We took over Greenridge Park…again (I saw grandparents with their grandkids running off). Lindsay made probably a hundred or so homemade popsicles for all the kiddos and everyone had a blast.

I’m not ready for summer to be over, but I am. Our no-plans summer was a success. We got a ton of time with friends and family, and little time running around like mad trying to get from one activity to another. Are you ready for summer to end, or do you want it to last a little longer?

  1. I am also ready for summer to be done but not, at the same time……I like the different things of summer, like being at the trailer but I’m also looking forward to getting back to my quilting class friends and my book club..and such..I miss seeing and talking with them….Your girlies are so cute, as always Joyce..have a wonderful wknd!

  2. I always love your photos! I am with you, I’m not ready for the Summer to be over, but then again I am. I love the routine of the school year because it helps keep me on track, but I do love the freedom of Summer for play dates 🙂 I’m hoping our school schedule works out so that we can still have a few get togethers with you guys.
