Hide His Word: The Girls’ Vlog

I just finished memorizing John 1:1-14. The girls tried memorizing along with me.

Melody (5) memorized John 1:1-7 with our homeschool group this year (Classical Conversations). She memorized it in Latin and in English. I don’t think she remembers the Latin anymore, except in phrases since that’s how it was memorized. So it is not from a translation like ESV or NIV, but the English translation from the Latin passage taken from the Vulgate. Emily (3) memorized John 1:1.

I wish I knew how to do video editing (or have a program that does vid editing) because there were a few fun blooper moments for both girls that I would have added. Looking back at it, I probably should have found a better place to tape it, since Melody is wearing a white shirt and the background is white. Bonus points for anyone who can guess where this was taped (hint: watch Emily’s vid for clues). It was the best lighting at the time. This was also before nap time so the girls were actually a little out of it and Emily was definitely distracted. She didn’t want to cooperate once I started taping. :p
