My Future Sister (-in-Law)

I think It’s been awhile since I’ve attended a bridal shower. I love the excitement during this pre-wedding event. I love that a bride-to-be is surrounded by those who love her and want to pamper her for the day. It’s always a good time with the fun and games too. And who doesn’t oohing and aahing over the new gifts that the guests brought?

I was probably a hot mess this day because I had to be at a leadership summit at 8AM!! And as soon as it was over I went home, changed, and we headed out to the bridal shower which was about 40 minutes away. It was also actually really hot that day. Yay for good weather for both the bachelor party and the bridal shower even though there was some iffy weather in-between.

Why, yes I do need another sister!

Lucky duck Melody gets to be a flowergirl for the 3rd time and Emily for the 2nd time!

The food was THIS yummy!

Guess how many rings are in the jar. We were waaaay off.

Writing a Note

With the gifts we brought from BB&B the bride-to-be can peel her fruits and veggies, baste some pastries and tenderize meats! Wham! Bam! Oh and also a gift card just in case the kitchen wasn’t already well-stocked already from all the other kitchen gifts she got. :p

Two other fun games that are pictures above were a clothespin game where the player had to pull clothespins off of a hanger with one hand and see how many can be held in that hand, and also recalling what the bride-to-be was wearing while she stepped out of the room for awhile. I had to count on brainy Melody for that one but alas, we didn’t win.

Super fun! I haven’t been to any baby showers lately either. πŸ˜‰ Those are fun as well.

What are some fun games you’ve played at a bridal shower?

  1. I love the photos! It looks like so much fun and yes, adding another sister to your family is probably the best thing ever. πŸ™‚ We were so bummed we missed hanging out with you guys last week…hopefully we can get together soon. Jacob is still getting over whatever it was that he had and I’m hoping by next week we will be germ free. πŸ™‚

  3. Heh – steal the clothespin. Everyone gets a clip on clothespin when they come. At the very beginning of the shower, you announce that if you see anyone sitting with their legs crossed, they forfeit their pin to the person who noticed. The winner is the one who has the most clothespins at the end (you have to decide if ankles crossed counts or not). Pure torture.
