I have to be honest. I wasn’t every intentional in my Scripture memorization this month. It got super busy. I know it shouldn’t be an excuse, but it is. Here’s another excuse that might surprise you – I got a new phone. What does that have to do with Scripture memory? For me, a lot. I use the RememberMe memory verse app to do a lot of review. After I switched phones, I didn’t get around to inputting all my verses into the app. So without my daily reminders at 7am, I didn’t do a good job of reviewing. I did memorize the verses, but not as best as I could have if I had worked on it more each day.
One thing that I love about memorizing Scripture is that it is helping me remember other things more. I’m able to have more of my to-do list in my head than I did before I started memorizing again.
I don’t have anything exciting to report on for Week 14 – 17. I’m still using Scripture Typer to review and memorize the verses. I have enjoyed getting to meditate on the words of this passage. Only a handful of verses left, and then hoping to use the remaining 2 weeks to really get the verses from my head into my heart.
Challenge
- Start date: Sunday, November 6th
- Finish date: Saturday, March 31st
- Pace of 2-3 verses a week, with a 2-week “life happens” buffer.

I love your 2-week “life happens” buffer. Because it does. You’re doing great and I’m so excited we’re doing this together.

Yes! to getting them from our head into our hearts. Great to meet a fellow traveler on teh Romans 8 road!
make that “the” Romans 8 road …. sheesh – fingers don’t listen to me anymore!
Congratulations to your memorizing efforts and your honesty about your Christian walk!
You can backup the verses of your old phone to a website, and then download them to your new phone (see http://sites.google.com/site/rememberapp/synchronize). By the way, Remember Me is now also available for iPhone, iPad and BlackBerry PlayBook. 🙂
