Super Fun Birthday Party

So I think we’re done with birthday parties for awhile (the next 2 weeks anyway) since we had 4 Saturdays of kiddie birthday parties. =p We attended a super fun one last Saturday. It was a baking cooking theme.

Here is what went down in the words of Emily.

“Cutting other snack.” (They used cookie cutters to make biscuits of different shapes…E chose a yellow one that was a bunny.)

“Roll hot dog.” They wrapped a hot dog with crescent roll dough and then rolled it in parmesan cheese and bread crumbs.

“Shake it.” They were shaking a baby jar of cream to make butter for the biscuits. There was music and freeze dancing going on.

“Putting on butter.”

“Mommy cook dinner.” ha! My dinners aren’t this nice! This was the lunch spread for the party.

“Drink apple juice.” <– what she said

“Hot dog”

“Looking at cupcake.” The kids got to decorate their own cupcakes with sprinkles, M&Ms, frosting, icing, gummi bears, marshmallows….the gummi bears were the most popular.

“Cake and ice cream.”

There were some other games (Hot Potato and a shopping cart game), and they also decorated chef hats, and got aprons with their names on them.

  2. That is an awesome idea! I am going to have to remember that for Oralee’s sixth birthday party next May. It is usually still chilly here where we live and I just run out of ideas for activities for the kids to do indoors. But I think the cooking/baking theme would be a HIT!
