Kennedy Park

We went on a spur-of-the-moment (kinda) excursion to Kennedy Park in Hayward the other day. We had planned on going to Tilden Park with some friends, but it didn’t work out that morning.

The girls enjoyed their time with Ma-Ma (paternal grandma in Chinese) and Yee-Yee (auntie in Chinese, this would be my sister…before school starts up again for her, she is a K teacher).

We had a quick snack of fruits when we arrived. The girls picked a table right by the petting zoo/farm thingie, and the breeze was blowing our way. Not pleasant. They immediately wanted to go play.

We ran into some MOPS/storytime friends while we were there, and had a nice but brief conversation. It turns out that they moved from San Francisco to the East Bay just one month before we did. Our kiddos are the same age (she has 2 boys).

Anyhow, after a few rounds on the play structures, Emily came up to me and said, “TICKETS!” I translated that to mean we should get on the rides.

I got the “special tickets”, and off we went.

They got the bounce house all to themselves!

The weather was nice too. Yay!

  1. That looks like so much fun!! I am now googling Tilden Park to see if it’s something we could do with the boys one day. 🙂 You’re full of great ideas!
