Besides our little outing this week, most of my time was spent in trying to prepare for VBS which is coming up next week. I didn’t realize the magnitude of my job. Okay, it’s really not a huge role, but remember, I haven’t done this in a few years. =p Lists were made, props were made, materials were studied, and I think I am almost ready….except I have to figure out how to use our dual-monitor computer at church to project the slideshow presentation. Wish me luck! I will (mostly) not be posting much next week, so take a look around at some of our old posts while we’re away. Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

Don’t you just love VBS! I know its a highlight for my summer every year, I lived in such a small town when I grew up each church needed every child to make it work…so we had weeks of VBS!
have a great week!
There is nothing quite as sweet as little girls in flower girl dresses! It’s such a joy to have those long-time, close friendships that are as comfortable as putting on a favorite pair of shoes. Much happiness to the newlyweds!
Ah Joyce…love looking at your pictures…reminds me of how we used to do things like that when the kids were little…..lots of fun for sure….it’s great to have readers…two out of my nine are readers and I think their lives are greatly enriched for it…of course I’m a reader so I can never figure out why some people find it a lot of work and boring….have a great time at your VBS…yes, they are a ton of work but usually the benefits are worth it!
Hi Joyce! I’m finally getting to check in with you guys. It looks like you’ve been having a busy and fun summer! Also, I totally love the new blog header. SO cute!
Thanks Kaylene! We don’t have much time these upcoming weeks, but we hope to organize some of our pages on this new theme soon.
Congratulations Melody! I remember the first time I read all the books on the summer reading list, and how ecstatic I was over the feat (yes, I’ve always been a book reading nerd). Good for her!
I hope you have a good weekend!
Looks like fun again at your house! Good luck at VBS, they are always a great time! I have no idea what those flowers are, but they are beautiful! Let me know if you find out! Have a great weekend!
