I think I was looking for other ways to use ground beef, and I decided to make meatloaf. I found this BROWN SUGAR MEATLOAF. It just so happened that the first time I tried it I had all the ingredients for the recipe. You all know by now that I like recipes with ingredients I already have on hand.
I used a loaf pan for this so it was way too much to fit in there, so I made half. I added celery because I had some and wanted some veggie to go with it. If you’re using a loaf pan for this recipe, make sure you don’t fill it to the top because it will bubble out.
From some of the reviews (always always always read the reviews!) I read that you can put the sugar and ketchup on top as a glaze, but we like it at the bottom.
I also used fine bread crumbs instead of finely crushed saltine cracker crumbs because that’s what I had.
Besides steak or sloppy joes or Arby’s roast beef sandwiches, Melody is not a big beef eater, but she liked this recipe.
