Okay, so the title is kinda a fib. Our laptop is messed up, and we haven’t uploaded any photos because we can’t really see them. I’m making myself blind trying to read/type on this thing. But for the sake of consistency, that’s our title. =p I’ll have to catch ya’ll up in 2 weeks probably…after our new laptop arrives.
Click HERE for a brief update. Other than the usual “life-with-a-newborn” routine, we’ve been trying to get our rest. Norm is starting his new job this coming Wednesday. They sent us a Harry & David’s gift basket to welcome him. Yum! Thanks again for all who kept us in your prayers.
Please pray for me. I am fighting off an infection from breastfeeding. It’s like a flashback of 2 years ago…except hopefully I won’t end up in the ER this time. =(
Week 20 of 52 (Only 3 photos because we got our hands full midweek.)

Sounds like you are getting in the groove of having a newborn. I will be praying that your breast infection clears withOUT the need for an ER visit. Enjoy that little one and we’ll look forward to seeing new pictures when you have a working computer again. Have a great weekend!
Praying you don’t end up in the ER either.
Praying for you – those infections can be a pain!
Jolanthe
p.s. enjoy the Harry and David’s – you’re still eating for two, no? π
Oh ouch! I hope the infection goes away!! Melody’s story was cute…but sad that she had such a hard time with you being away from home. I can imagine that it’s upsetting to a little girl, though.
I’m glad Emily was born healthy and so precious. Hope you’re enjoying her. π
God bless,
Kara
Sorry about the laptop. Hope you get the other one soon.
Congratulations on your new baby!!! I am so sorry about the infection – OUCH! I’m sure you know all this but; warm compresses, nurse as often as possible, cabbage leaves, etc. When ever I got a clogged duct/infection I just hooked up to the breast pump and pumped until I couldn’t anymore. ugh, ugh, ugh – I certainly don’t miss those days. Hope you feel better soon. If it’s yeast/thrush related, I’ve heard and witnessed wonderful things about coconut oil.
All the best to you and your family!
Dawn
I do hope the infection clears up very soon…it certainly can make nursing difficult…..I’m so glad that your hubby starts his new job soon. Enjoy your new babe and your little girl…it’s really the best age!
Hope your infection clears up soon, ugh.
And yummy, Harry & David gift basket. Enjoy!
