The first half of the month was rather calm and quiet. We joined the Session Meeting at church (and got free dinner too!) so that we can finally finalize our membership transfer to First Pres. Joyce had her monthly doctor’s appointment. Baby is doing well from the sounds of the heartbeat.
Mid-month we were treated to a fancy meal at Il Fornaio in Burlingame in celebration of Miranda’s (Norm’s cousin) birthday. The following day we attended our first congregational meeting at church. It was mighty interesting to say the least. Tuesday was CCS Fundraiser Night at Rigatoni’s. We’re always up for pasta. The library had their regular storytimes the first half of November, but one Wednesday they had a puppet show (Puss ‘N Boots). We enjoyed a nice meal with the Bagai’s (youth director’s family at church) on Saturday. The next day we headed out to San Francisco for Thanksgiving Sunday lunch at CIBC. It was good to see everyone and the kids growing up quickly. That night we went out to celebrate Norm’s dad’s birthday at Silver House in San Mateo. There was super quick service for decent food.
In lieu of storytime, the next week they held a kids’ concert by Gary Lapow. Melody LOVES dancing to his CD that he autographed for her. That evening we went to Pyzano’s Pizzeria with Jen and Aaron. Tony Gemignani, the world famous pizza thrower is the co-owner. He really is famous! He’s been on the Early Show, Good Morning America, Yan Can Cook, The Tonight Show, Rachel Ray Show, Emeril…and he’s met Tony Danza! That was all the photos we looked at. The pizza was great, but it was a long wait and a tad expensive.
Melody loved Thanksgiving Dinner at the Law’s (Norm’s uncle’s family), both the food and playing with Bailey, Hana, and Kaela. Thanksgiving Part 2 was at the Lau’s after an exciting day of Special Storytime at the Manor Branch. We saw Melody’s friend Kaitlyn there. She will be a big sister in a few weeks. Yay! And for those of you who didn’t get our e-mails or other form of communication…Melody will be a big sister too! We’re expecting late May 2009. Stay tuned for our December update…
