It was a blast celebrating Melody’s 4th birthday this week. I can’t believe she’s 4!! It has been a wonderful journey, and I am blessed, inspired, encouraged, and challenged by her every single day. We look forward to meeting our friends’ little baby this weekend. Prayers needed for a safe almost 2-hour drive tomorrow after Melody’s dance class. We’ll be getting our Japanese Seafood Buffet on, so don’t bother us. =p (Trust me, there will be food photos next week.)

  1. Ha! Paparazzi, I love it! Looks like she had a great birthday. I love the picture of the girls sitting beside one another, they have grown so much just since I have been reading, so precious! I totally want to visit your library…that is way better than the bird house guy we get! Hope you have a great weekend…can’t wait to see the food pics and hear about your blogging babe get together!

  2. Meloday was *so* patient to have all those pictures taken before being able to eat that cake! Did it really light up?! Wonders never cease.

Have a safe and happy trip this weekend – nuzzling a new baby is always a blessing, and I’m looking forward to learning about a Japanese seafood buffet.

  3. What a happy, happy birthday girl! Know ya’ll will have a special weekend with the new baby. Drive safe and I know I needn’t worry about your taking lots of great pictures to share next week.

    Valentine blessings to you!

  4. Wow! Four years old is such a grand birthday! She is beautiful and precious.

Okay…a red egg and ginger party…sounds unique! I’m curious!

The acrobat show sounds cool.We are reading the book The Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson. Your library show sounds like it would fit neatly into our book selection.

  5. What a birthday party! I’m sure Melody was absolutely beside herself.

I love the picture of the two girls sitting and watching the slide show together. Two peas in a pod! :)

  6. HI Joyce! Your comments have been so encouraging this week. Thank you for your kindness. The great thing about Company Girls is I can take you with me wherever I go!

I will miss my Moms Inc. program at our church a lot when we go. That’s one thing I will be looking for in a new church, for sure! A women’s group/moms group is so important. It is a great way to develop friendships and get support when you need it!

Little Melody is 4! Wow! Caleb is 4. It’s such a fun age. I love this developmental stage. He’s so fun to play with and teach! :)

We are opening a dollar store. The name of it is Dollar Plus. It will have a section for some discount merchandise that is over a dollar too. The short story is that my in-laws moved their ACE Hardware store to a bigger building (that used to be a dollar store) so we started discussing what could happen with their building. The town wants a Dollar Store back so bad that they are granting us money for our new sign and new store front windows. We are now part owners of the building, and majority owners of the store.

Whew! Sorry to write a book. I should have just e-mailed you with the story. The eventual goal is to take over the two ACE stores his parents own in the area when they want to retire. Such an adventure! :)

    God is good!
    Have a great weekend!
    Melissa
